Show Rules

Version 2026-10-09 · applies to every show booked through Fans Show

These rules apply to everyone attending a show booked through Fans Show, whether a regular screening or a fan show. They are part of our Terms of Service. The theatre's own rules of entry also apply, and where the two differ, the stricter rule wins. The person who books is responsible for everyone on their booking.

1. Smoking, alcohol and drugs

  • No smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes anywhere in the theatre, including washrooms, stairways and parking (Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003). No chewing tobacco, gutka or paan.
  • No alcohol or drugs may be brought in or consumed. Anyone who appears to be under the influence may be refused entry or removed.

2. Security and safety

  • You agree to security checks at the entrance, including bag checks and frisking. Refusing a check means you cannot enter.
  • Follow the instructions of the theatre's security staff, theatre staff, the show's organisers and the police at all times.
  • No weapons, sharp objects, firecrackers, lighters, flammable items, laser pointers or anything the security team considers unsafe.
  • No confetti, paper blasts, colour powder, milk, liquids or anything thrown inside the auditorium, and nothing on or near the screen, unless the theatre has allowed it for that show.
  • Keep aisles, stairs and exits clear. Do not stand or climb on seats, railings or the stage. In an emergency, follow the staff and the exit signs.
  • Outside food and drink are not allowed unless the theatre permits them.

3. Conduct

  • Treat other guests, staff and organisers with respect. Harassment, abuse, threats, fighting, discrimination, or behaviour that disturbs others is not allowed.
  • Celebrate within the limits the theatre and organisers set. Cheering is part of a fan show; damaging property or endangering others is not.
  • You are responsible for any damage you cause to the theatre, its seats, screen or equipment, and may be asked to pay for it.

4. Recording and piracy

  • Recording any part of the film, by video, audio or photograph, is an offence under the Cinematograph Act, 1952 and the Copyright Act, 1957. Offenders' devices may be checked and they may be handed over to the police.
  • Fan shows may be photographed or filmed for coverage. By attending, you agree that you may appear in it.

5. Tickets and entry

  • Your QR ticket admits the number of people shown on it, once. Tickets cannot be transferred or resold.
  • Carry a valid government photo ID. Staff may ask for it, and entry may be refused if the details do not match the booking.
  • Films certified 'A' are for adults (18+) only. Entry is refused to anyone under 18, whatever ticket they hold.
  • Sit in the seat assigned to you. Children must be supervised by an adult; ticketing for children follows the theatre's policy.
  • Late entry is at the theatre's discretion. Arriving late or missing the show is not a reason for a refund.
  • Your belongings are your own responsibility.

6. Cancellations and refunds

  • You cannot cancel a confirmed ticket and get a refund for it.
  • If the show is cancelled or rescheduled, you get a refund of what you paid, except taxes and the booking fee, or you can keep your ticket for the new date.
  • The full rules are in our Refunds & Cancellations policy.

7. If the rules are broken

  • The theatre, its security staff, the organisers or Fans Show may refuse entry, or remove anyone from the show and the premises, without a refund, and may report the matter to the police.
  • A person removed may be barred from future shows booked through Fans Show.

8. Your acknowledgement

Before every booking you confirm the following:

I have read and agree to the Show Rules, the Terms of Service and the Refunds & Cancellations policy. I understand that I cannot cancel a confirmed ticket for a refund, and that I may be refused entry or removed from the show without a refund if I or anyone in my booking breaks the Show Rules - including smoking, drinking, misbehaving, recording the film, or not cooperating with security staff.

We keep a record of each acknowledgement: the account, the booking, the date and time, the version of these rules and the address the booking came from. That record may be used as evidence that the rules were accepted.
